Erratic movements of the Snowfinch through the Alps (from the Austrian Alps to the French Alps)
On 25 November 2021, Alexandre Terrigeol observed this Snowfinch in the French Alps south of Geneva (coordinates 46°00'18.3"N - 6°28'04.1"E).
The Snowfinch was ringed (colored ring), as a nestling in spring 2020 at Grossglockner (Austria) by John Parker.
Thus, the bird was observed at age 1.5 years 500 km to the West of its birth place.

Erratic movements of the Snowfinch through the Alps (from the Swiss Alps to the Italian Alps)
On 01 July 2019, Davide Scridel observed this Snowfinch in the Italian Alps at the Gavia Pass - Stelvio National Park (Italy).
The Snowfinch (female) was ringed (colored ring), by Fränzi korner and Jaime Resano-Mayor at Furkapass, Switzerland in January 2018.
Therefore, the bird was observed 160 km from its ringing site.
